Staten Island: A woman named Jasmin Thompson, 25, is in hot water for allegedly stabbing a mom named Jennira Roundtree, 43, during a big fight outside a housing project. Before turning herself in, she went on a podcast and claimed Roundtree “wasn’t being a real mom.”

Thompson turned herself in at the 120th Precinct after the incident, which happened in front of Roundtree’s home. She’s facing second-degree murder charges for the January 7 incident, which reportedly started over a social media dispute.

On the podcast, Thompson insisted she’s “not a killer” and said she only picked up the knife after Roundtree was already hurt. She claimed she was scared for her life during the chaos. Sources say Roundtree jumped into the fight to protect her daughter but ended up being attacked herself.

Thompson’s lawyer, Mario Gallucci, argued that Roundtree wasn’t innocent either, saying she had been involved in earlier altercations that day. A neighbor, however, said Roundtree was just trying to defend her daughter from a group of girls.

After the fight, Roundtree was taken to the hospital but sadly passed away. Thompson, who has a history of arrests, continues to deny any intent to kill, saying she has kids too and understands the struggles of being a mom.
