Aaron Gordon is back from a calf strain, ready to play against the Mavericks after missing nine games

This season has been tough for Gordon, who’s missed a total of 20 games with the same injury. When he’s on the floor, he averages 13.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.1 assists. Plus, he’s hitting 44% from beyond the arc, which is huge for the Nuggets.
While Gordon was out, Michael Porter Jr. stepped up to play his position, and Russell Westbrook got a chance to start. The team has been doing well, with a 12-4 record when Westbrook starts. Coach Michael Malone hasn’t revealed how Gordon’s return will affect Westbrook’s role, but he’s confident they’ll figure it out.
Malone mentioned they’ll assess the lineup once everyone is healthy. He likes how the team is playing, especially their improved defense.
Also, Jamal Murray is back after dealing with some knee soreness. He missed a whole season due to a torn ACL in that knee, so they’re being cautious. Malone said they’ll keep monitoring him, especially with a packed schedule ahead.
It’s an exciting time for Nuggets fans as they get their key players back!
