Shelton: A heartbreaking incident occurred early Sunday morning when a 14-year-old girl was killed in a three-car crash. Chloe Ramsubhag, from Waterbury, was a passenger in a Honda Civic involved in the wreck on State Route 8 around 12:30 a.m.

The driver, Devin Remsubhag, was heading north when their car was hit by a Honda CR-V driven by Carlos Beamonte, who then fled the scene. The crash was severe enough to send the Civic over the median and into oncoming traffic, where it was struck again by a Honda Accord. Sadly, Chloe was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Accord, Amarley Cresenti Ewers, was taken to the hospital for her injuries. Beamonte, the driver of the CR-V, also ended up in the hospital after calling 911 to report the crash. Investigators later found out he had left the scene. Devin Remsubhag was hospitalized too, and his injuries were reported as the most serious among the surviving drivers. Connecticut State Police are looking into the details of this tragic accident.
